Oh that just reminded me of something that really happened several years back....
I was popping into Tesco to pick up some baby oil....my youngest child was only months old and had very dry skin.
My friend, who knew where I was going, and why, rang me on my mobile and said would I get her something for her kids guinea pig.

So there I am, at the checkout, running on a few hours sleep after my night shift.
I am at the fast checkout and place my items down and the young lad started to blush.
It was then I realised why....in my basket I had a bottle of baby oil and a cucumber!!!

So what did I do? I used my humour...
"What? I'm having an early night!"

Like it!

@ScotiaLass Hope you were shopping for a Garmin so you can get yourself onto Strava and we can see some of your routes and then the segment hunting and comparing yourself to others starts, so maybe not if you are sensible.

No I won't use that.
I'm just looking for the basics, mainly to see my mileage...routes would be nice too but I'd probably not use much else on it.

Shurely you mean ..

Delicate, prone to occasional unpredictability, occasionally needs careful handling, and requires frequent application of lotions and potions to keep in full working order?
That's the one!

Mechanical forms of transport are always referred to in the female sense.
Hmm

"Referring to mechanical objects as being of the feminine gender has a long tradition going back to the days of sailing ships and probably beyond. Many will tell you this has to do with their unpredictable nature. It might also have to do with the fact that if you treat them well and take care of them, they'll be with you a long, long time. If you mistreat them, or simply ignore them, they are apt to suddenly up and quit, stranding you when it hurts the most."
