Problem is it's the same issue with the digital aerial which is way above the scaffolding, the DVD player playback and with recorded programmes from weeks/months ago on the Sky hard drive - it's not just the Sky signal unfortunately...
We could knock out a sky signal easily from across the street. That said, if DVD playback is affected, then it does sound like your t.v. has had it.

Take your telly to a mates/family/next Dior and try it there.

Whilst there make yourself a brew and sit down to watch repeats of only Fools & Horses.:okay:

Cleaned all the ports, unplugged, re-plugged, threatened it, yelled at it and then threatened it with non-stop repeats of 1980s Last of the Summer Wine.

The stubborn bloody thing is just sat there glowering at me. 'kin thing with its blocky picture and ghosting...

Sorry may have missed something, but have you tried connecting an external player (DVD or similar) via HDMI, or does it not have an HDMI input? Our LG only lasted 4 years, I did a lot of research on them and it seems it's very hit or miss as to whether you get one that lasts or not (huge variability in production/assembly standards).

Yeah, tried that. Still knackered, so I bit the bullet and got a new telly. Everything is fine now so it was the old telly on the way out...
