No, as it's pasteurised and doesn't contain the Mother, which is the bit that's supposedly* good for you.



*Not that there's any real evidence for the miraculous claims for cider vinegar.
Worth a shot as i have a very sick chicken :sad:

In the us,

Apple cider = raw unprocessed, unfiltered apple juice.

Hard cider = fermented juice is more like our scrumpy

Apple cider vinegar, is vinegar made from the raw, unpasteurised unfiltered apple cider.

So, no the stuff Tesco are selling is not apple cider vinegar.

If it is a recipe you are looking at the tesco stuff will probably be fine, but if it is as a health food or fancy diet component it is the wrong stuff.

You can get cider vinegar with the Mother from healthfood shops. It isn't cheap... £10.99 from Holland & Barrett for example.
