Is the inner tube recyclable?

I keep a box full of old inner tubes for the many applications noted above and any others that may come along too.

Forgot to say - they are quite good as fire lighters - bonfires and the like

Tie them together to make a giant catapult to launch fire-arrows from a scaffold at night.

That's what my cub pack did the other day...
