Giant seem to have been bringing out the .5's between models . I guess its a taster of what next years model will be sporting . Or testing the sales market maybe ?

Its only what I saw last summer so youre probably right . I guess I looked at 2012 -13 range while looking for a road bike to buy . I'm pretty sure it was in store aswell rather than online . Im sure they have some .5's in store now and no doubt I will be in there within a few days :hyper:If I remember ill ask about them .

What's a defy 1.5. Do you mean a trek?
It is an official (none catalogue) run out model.
They did this with an aluminium 2013 TCR SL - which, was a u.k specific (I think) aluminium frame, carbon fork model they did to 'show off' their metalwork skills.
It had a frame weight of around 1180g & was lighter than a lot of carbon frames.

It was well priced too but a very limited none catalogue model.
I tried to get one after it was featured in a bike mag but no chance - sold out in my size at least.

Back to the Defy 1.5.
It was the same as a Defy 2 but with a few upgrades.
Full Tiagra, carbon seatpost, lighter bars (I think) & maybe something else (I sold it on after a year).
I got my 2010 used from a LBS in 2011.
So this is what they showed me at the time in the store.

The Triban 3 is £249 right now but only for a few days . Good bike ? I have no idea but it gets raved about on here .
From what ive read it has carbon forks but crap wheels . Forks maybe cheaper than wheels ?

Only in two sizes, but if right a good option and save for some new £100 wheels (or probably less). You'll gain more with better wheels than forks
