You're up to £1.30 now!

I found a mini saddlebag in my LBS reduced from around £12 to £7. As I was humming and ha-ing over it, a woman came in with her son's bike and began complaining that the gears didn't work and the chain was rusty and she'd only just had it serviced. The shop manager checked his computer and saw that "only just had it serviced" was actually 18 months before and the bike had clearly not been maintained or had a moment's attention since then. The woman was really shirty and nasty about it and the manager was clearly embarrassed about telling her the facts, so I waded in and told her for him. At this point she gave up and became a little more contrite. As soon as she had wandered off I offered the assistant a fiver for the bag and he replied "Oh yes, thanks so much for helping out - a fiver is fine."

Result!

Most of those items (cycling related) are carboot buys.
Wedgie bag, paid £1
Polaris shoes, £1
FSA headset, £2
Pedals, £2

Another kiss of death to anyone on here who was considering buying anything, now you know how much i paid

Its becoming my cycling fund. buy at the carboot, sell on ebay. I just got a SRAM 10 speed chain off ebay, cost me £15. I funded it (indirectly) with the sale of a Park Tools chain breaker and chain wear indicator. I brought both of them for £2, sold for circa £15, so my chain cost me £2
