Something similar once happened to The Who when Keith Moon was so blotto he couldn't continue and an audience member took over on drums. Im seeing Rush next year and am ready to stand in if Geddy Lee doesn't feel up to doing YYZ.

Who's the drummer for Rush? Big boots to fill there. Must be terrifying on the first few gigs knowing you're standing in for someone of his calibre.

Anika Nilles.

Geddy Lee's bass tech saw her at some gig or other and came back raving, so The Progfather flew her to Canada for a week of auditions to see if she really was that good. It seems she was, and even Neil Peart's family have given their blessing.

Neil "The Professor" Peart is indeed a tough act to follow.

Just checked her out @Drago she is fabulous isn't she. Perfect timing and that ability to squeeze infills in go bring the sound alive. Ginger Baker, Neil Peart and not many others have that talent to make the whole thing totally fluid.

Aye, shes a real talent. She's got bigger stones than most men to step up to do that job, so fair play to her gumption as well as her skills. Looking forward to seeing her in action in March.
