I would get more satisfaction from cleaning the bike than being in a pub or watching tv. (I sometimes clean the tyres too).

I can't remember.Did the OP say he uses Autosol or this?.

You seem to have a problem identifying things. Just don't try cleaning your teeth with that, unless someone has threatened to push your teeth so far down your etc etc.

Most of my bike frame is matt carbon so polishing doesn't make much sense but I do enjoy taking a bit of time to make sure crankset , chain, cassette as well as jockey wheels are spotless. Apart from that, I can happily spend an hour polishing my shoes, getting the gleam

I think my aversion to polishing things stems from a tramatic childhood where my Granny used to get me to polish her ridiculous collection of brass ornaments. It took hours and I ended up high on the smell of Brasso and Duraglitz.

Hi to all.
As the title suggests is their anybody as sad as me when it comes to polishing there bike. When the tv,s rubbish and the weather is to bad for a bike ride I will spend hours polishing my 33 year old Peugeot Equipe. A tube of Autosol and a sonic scrubber ( its like a giant electric toothbrush ) will keep me quiet and out of the pub for hours polishing away at all the alloy components. Its almost addictive and I find it hard to know when to stop. Here's a picture of a brake lever I've just done.Be Jesus know wonder the wife ran off with another fella. I really think I need to get out more lol :-))

I must be sad too as I also like to fettle with my bikes. The lever looks great and sorry to read about your wife.
