And you seriously expect people to believe a story like that?Back in the '80s, my driving instructor told me of a lad (on his 17th birthday) turned up with his father to take his test in an expensive car.
The father got out and the examiner got in. On starting the car, the lad turned the radio on up to full volume.
The examiner failed him without having moved an inch and told him to come back when he was more mature.
Cue one furious father.
And you seriously expect people to believe a story like that?
And there are the kind of people who accept ridiculous anecdotes as fact.Well, there are people and there are 'Dirk kind' of people, I suppose.
I don't think it is particularly unbelievable. Someone I grew up with drove stretches of his driving test with just one hand, with the other arm hanging out of the window. The examiner didn't say anything during the test. Once back at the test center the examiner told my neighbour he had failed the test, and that he would have to repeat it, to show he was able to drive with both arms. And there are the kind of people who accept ridiculous anecdotes as fact.
