I tried out some cyclocross the other day but I only had 25 mm wide rubber on & slipped & slided all over the place but managed to stay upright, even in the deeper wet mud. Also had some crazy boggy descents.
Then on the tarmac I had to dismount to move over a barrier & couldn't get my foot out then slammed on the floor. It came out of nowhere, that's the second time in a year now. It's always the hip that hurts the most.
