My cat always looks incredibly smug. He normally has no reason to. However, I will let him off with todays episode of smugness, in light of what @PaulSecteur has informed us of....

He has won the food battle, which is why (I am guessing), he looks so smug.... I found a cheap bag of Iams cat food, and bought it for him as a little treat. He will now eat nothing else. Little Bar-stool!

The usual 5 o'clock excessive pawing at her litter tray tells me she wants to be let out.

Go downstairs and open the front door and notice it's raining - look down but no cat to be seen.

Go back to bed - which now has a smug cat lying in the middle.

Mine should be a little put out as our 8-month-old son is playing with her toys now he is mobile. However she doesn't bat an eyelid - just happy to be alive and loved.
