+1 for all the usual, but, (and this is not just for your benefit Jo), I have a plan to open a bike shop with a small cafe in it as well that sells cake, what could be better than that? I've got it all mapped out in my head and everyone would navigate towards it on their rides for some casual cycle chat, (see what I did there?), and the best cake for miles
Hey smokey... how about a whole chain of them across the country 60 miles apart... with 3 rentable rooms above for overnight stays

Now we're talking ^_^. If anyone wants me I've gone to the petrol station corner shop for a Euromillions

I must admit I never do it either. A mate of my dad's has been spending 20 or 30 quid a week on it since the (Irish) Lotto started in 1986 and has won basically nothing on it. He wants to win so he can retire.

Two things, he's nearly retirement age now anyway and if he'd put the money he's spent on tickets into some sort of pension or saving scheme, he would have been able to retire by now anyway.

I'd make sure friends and family were sorted out. Put my house up for a local lottery for peeps trying to get on the ladder. Have some hypnosis and magic drugs that would completely get rid of my plane phobia so I could go and see places in the world. By a big house so I could have lots of dogs and a small holding. Live peacefully happily ever after.

I'd certainly go part time doing something I'd like to do - work in a bike shop or voluntary work.

A very admirable organisation. I know one of the trustees and some of the programme staff.
I was a supporter of them when they were called Intermediate Technology but had to stop when I lost my job. I like the idea of helping people in a way that empowers them, rather than tying them into dependency.

In cycling terms it is like showing a novice cyclist how to sort out their puncture rather than just fixing it for them, so next time they will know what to do.

i'd buy and run my own garage/modding buisness hiring the best people i know to work for me (used to work in an accident repair shop and know some damned good mechanics, panel beaters and sprayers!) plus start making custom bicycles and selling them. also sort out decent houses for the family so would be busy!
