Let's call it a long term goal.
Now, smokeysmoo, about this cafe...

Sorry Jo but the Euromillions and Dale Winton have let us down, so it's another week of the daily grind I'm afraid  Eat cake and carry on so to speak

You might regret writing that.... but fingers crossed!

Sorry AT, uncross fingers, (see above) and crack on, no change this week I'm afraid

I'd like to set up a charity/organisation that gets adults struggling with depression out into the Big Outdoors with group rides, walks in the hills etc, therapy sessions and how-to sessions on everything from maintaining one's bike to healthy cooking.

That is a superb idea:becool:

For my part...if I won..hmm..
well money cannot buy me happiness, sure I'd make sure I was secure and able to do stuff without financial worries, but TBH if it were a big win, I would keep a million, then give the rest to something that can do some good...right now leukimia research .

If I won a lot, I'd build a large shed for the Electric Traction Museum peeps at Coventry, get everything undercover.

Either that or I'd move them to a much better site!

I haven't won the lottery but I've 'packed it all in.' I quit my job last month and am working my notice at the moment. Come 1st May, I'm a free agent with no shackles enslaving me any more. I have never lived to work, I've worked to live and now I reckon I've worked enough so while I still have the physical attributes to do it, I'm taking my time off now. My goals are to do all the Munros I have left to climb and that's more than 150. I could have carried on earning and built up a good nest-egg but by then, I may be too old to complete my list of 'must-do' activities so I'm doing it now.

Friend of ours has gone part-time and has every Monday off... she started on her 50th birthday and does something different for each month of Mondays. She's been to music lessons, quad biking, climbing, skiing, mountain biking, archery, art class, yoga, ice-cream making, car track days... she's 52 now and loving it!
