It has to be the dancing dog doesn't it?

I bet there will be a few fancy collars heading Pudsey's way! Oh and probably an appearance at next year's Crufts too!

Actually, I only heard of it just before, so I sat through umpteen acts until the dog and the girl (in the lovely skin tight suit) appeared. I saw the dog dance, but I spent half the time looking at the girl instead!

I tell you what though, the outfit the girl in the Ballroom Dancing act was wearing didn't leave much to the imagination, and, well, the synchronised swimmers were nice too.....

You missed this from the auditions....

In the final, they did a Mission Impossible routine by the way, but a quick search on youtube has produced nothing so far.

No, really, I normally couldn't give a flying fart about this and other talent shows, but really, a dog act winning makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside

WELL DONE! :wahhey::thumbsup::highfive:

Its all pie in the sky , she's only a school girl , another year, a bottle of cider and a boyfriend and the dog will be sat at home all but forgotten.

Says a lot about the British public... either people are far more cynical then you'd expect to vote for a dog over really talented people trying to make their way in life doing what they care about... or it's a deliberate put-down on this type of talent show format. Either way it's sick... as in really sick, ie not good.

You've missed nothing at all Andy, believe me.
Britain's got talent but chooses to ignore it.... hopefully the young opera singer, the Irish and English singers, the Boys' Welsh choir and those girl swimmers will be able to build up a life doing what they're good at. I can only stand to watch it on You Tube mind!

True R, difficult to make judgements when we've neither of us seen it properly but after you've seen a dog repeat what it has been taught to do once how entertaining would it be to see it 3, 4, 5 times? Whereas...

Tom Jones... isn't he on another completely different [but generically the same] programme?

But aren't singers and stuff just repeating what they've trained to do?

I don't watch any of the talent stuff, but I'm glad the dog won. One in the eye for the whole bandwaggon.

Anyway, Susan Boyle didn't win, did she, and she's got a career out of it.

For the purposes of entertaining her Madge at the Royal variety show the best act won, singers, dancing troops etc etc are 2 a penny.

Unfortunately the talented part of the duo is the dog and is already middle aged and as no use for cash. I would imagine the cash will cause major ruptions in the family along the lines of, who bought the dog,who pays to feed the dog etc etc. imho it is a stupid amount of money to have as a prize.

I would imagine at least 2 of the acts from last night will end up on Cowells books and will release cd's in the very near future.

"one in the eye..." see, that's what I meant!

Arch, it really is perverse- but then when personal responsibility isn't at stake some people make really odd choices. I'm sure it's a lovely dog.
