Hol den Vorschlaghammer!
I'm one of those poor afflicted souls who has a vortex to another dimension hidden in my toolbox. It springs out when I open the toolbox and nestles just there next to me, ready to eat my tools.
WokingHa ha - I do that all the time ...
I find myself standing in the kitchen and wonder why I am there.
...that the weather will be crap at the weekend. Always.
... when you finally give up looking for something and just bloody-well buy a replacement, the formerly lost items will turn up, but not before you've used the replacement, so you cannot return it.
In other news, it turns out my 'good set' of bike lights were in the glove-box. Of course - why didn't I think to look there?
I once had two pairs of arm warmers. I now have one pair of arm warmers, the left one is large and the right one is medium...I have two odd gloves, both left hand. I know that if I throw them away, the missing ones will turn up.
In the sprirt of Gumtree and Local ads on FacebookI will give you £3 including postage for the previously "lost" lights
Joking aside, tape measures definitely have some sort of homing device that sends them back to B&Q.I have about five Stanley knives and the same number of tape measures. They are always somewhere other than the location at which I need one......and a branch of Screwfix is always temptingly near. The same daft situation arises with drill bits. Anyway, life is far too short to spend your time looking for stuff.
