Sorry for jumping on this one. I also did a long ride on the weekend (32 miler) and found my perineum sore after the ride.
I keep meaning to move the seat forward a bit, but also want to do a bike fit to ensure I've got the bike setup correctly.
Would it be worth me moving the seat forward, trying cream or is that something that toughens up over time?
I was wearing padded boxers for the ride also.

The shop just set the bike up, and although it's fine for my commute, for my longer rides, it's not, and pointed out I need to sort it earlier than later.
