... but finally the puncture fairy visited me on my commute. Going down a country lane my back wheel went over a stone at speed, innocuous I thought but then the back of the bike didn't feel right, a quick look down confirmed my fears.

So I pulled over and put a new tube in, then used my mini pump to inflate it, could only get it to about 40psi, I usually run the rear at 110psi. Been out to Aldi at lunch time because they have track pumps on sale for £5.99. So that got the wheel back up to a decent psi and I will leave the pump at work. Just hope that I don't get a puncture on the way home since I now have no spare inner tube. Must remember to brink a spare in tomorrow and leave that at work.

Get CO2 cannister for quicker and easier high pressure.
I've got one, didn't like carrying it. I use a CageBox to carry my spares.
Two tubes my man.
But then 2 could become 3, when does it stop?
Having a spare tube and pump at work is no good you should have it with you on the bike.!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I have a spare tube and pump on my bike. The pump can only do about 40psi so wanted something at work where I could pump the tyres up to a decent pressure.

Only if all the valve caps are screwed down 6 3/4 turns.
No - that would be ridiculous  but I do take them out of the boxes and tighten the cores when I buy them (otherwise the Leyzne pump unscrews them)......................and I don't like having different colored dust caps back and front..................so probably guilty as charged!
