Can I just say that tautology has long been one of my most favourite words"He's a boy" would be tautologous (if talking about an infant).

Actually...."He's a boy" would be tautologous (if talking about an infant).
Actually....
Those of us who fought the cause of inclusive language back when it was a niche interest were constantly being told with considerable vehemence that masculine nouns and pronouns should not be interpreted as masculine but as generic. So "he's a boy" would be seen by the "it's all PC gone mad" as perfectly valid. Along with, a favourite of mine, "the average man gets up at 7am, washes, and puts on his pantyhose" (a real example quoted to me in1980-something).
OK, it's a fair cop.
I'll settle for "He or she's a boy".![]()
You were close. "Louis sponger off the state" isn't far off.
No indeed. I think few of us would.
I don't much like the idea of the fact that they are subsidised from the public purse either.
Well, this country has to keep the prince & princesses fantasy going to placate the flag waving masses, distracting them from the fact they're being lied to, ripped off & shafted by a bunch of Tory c****.You were close. "Louis sponger off the state" isn't far off.
