But it's a sign of what? Simple carelessness, inability to use a spell check, poor teaching, lack of reading anything other than texts and net crap? Whoever wrote the piece must have something about them or they wouldn't have got the job. I asked my 9 year old granddaughter to read it out and she picked it up straightaway.

In your second sentence delete the comma after 'teaching' and insert the word 'or'.

If you're going to use semicolons to separate sundry items of news, you need another before the unrelated ''and more top stories.'' Maybe. The mid-sentence capital is the only glaring error that I can see, though.

So what is the error that the granddaughter spotted so quickly? 'Almost' being capitalised? That was all that I could see and I wouldn't have created wear on the keyboard for it.
