We are forecast more snow on Friday and then rain and a lot warmer from Sunday. First few days next week will be interesting with the slush being everywhere.

Sorry to burst the excitement. It's snowing down here in Laandaan. Doubt it will settle (well, that's my hope anyways)

The Costa Clyde rain magnet.
It's been fine for cycling here since New Year. Cold but mainly dry. Now that the cold spell is coming to an end, here is what we are in for according to the Met Office :
UK Outlook for Monday 28 Jan 2013 to Wednesday 6 Feb 2013:

Rather unsettled throughout much of this period, with spells of rain, and hill snow in the north, interspersed with clearer, showery interludes, for many areas. It will also be windy at times, with a risk of gales, especially in the north, perhaps even severe gales over exposed coastal and upland areas. Temperatures will recover to around the seasonal average in many parts, although it will often feel cold in the wind and rain, with overnight frost mainly confined to inland shelter. As the period goes on, the most unsettled and windiest weather will be most frequent towards the northwest of the UK, with the best of any drier and brighter weather in the south and east, where there will be an increasing risk of overnight frost.

Just great, for those of us in the north(ish) west. Give me the cold snowy weather any time. Can't stand wind and rain.

As the Great Michael Fish said in 1987 "To the woman who called in from Portsmouth I can assure you that no hurricane is imminent".

I have been doing a bit on an exercise bike but it is so boring I can't do more than 10 minutes.
