Mine is the triple also, and it is the inner and middle ring that have caused the problem.

I don't mind whilst riding the bike I have tipped the scales from 98kg now down to 88kg and ridden it for 6 months ~ around 2,500 miles mainly hilly terrain. Tend not to use the Granny ring. It as been (and still is) my training bike.

ok - just looked at the bike and there is about an 1" to 1 1/2" gap between the chainstay and the chainset......hope it doesnt flex that much

the chainstay seams to go straight back for about 6 inches then flares out

They have obvious;y altered the design of the AluxX frame then, mine as a clearance of app. 7mm to 11mm (inner / middle) there is no flair.
