Cool. I'm sure you will enjoy it enormously and hope the weather is kind....but best of all my first ever sportive on Sunday...very excited!
You know when you read something and you really don't want to laugh but ....There is a poem written in ancient Aramaic and it was found on scrolls in the middle east in the 18th Century. It was first translated into ancient Hebrew then the British Museum translated it to modern English. Obviously through the translations it has somewhat lost it's original beauty in the script but the message still rings true today. I have written below the most widely accepted translation:
Sunday, Monday, Happy Days,
Tuesday, Wednesday, Happy Days,
Thursday, Friday, Happy Days,
The weekend comes, my cycle hums
Ready to race to you
These days are ours
Happy and free. (Oh Happy Days)
These days are ours
Share them with me.(Oh baby)
Goodbye grey sky, hello blue,
there's nothing can hold me when I hold you.
feels so right you can't be wrong,
rockin' and rollin' all week long.
Saturday, what a day
Groovin' all week with you
Like @Rooster1 - I finish early on a Friday, which is great.
@hoppym27 - which sportive are you doing this weekend? I'm doing a charity ride on Sunday, it's a last minute thing. The office where I work agreed to sponsor a group of riders into this local charity ride and then forgot to ask anyone if they want to do it! I agreed to do it yesterday so I'm resting up today and tomorrow ready for the ride on Sunday. I don't even work for the company where I am based (rather oddly), but I seem to do all of their charity cycle events - I've done a few over the years![]()
