Short route home tonight. Got to get my lad to Scout Camp for 7 - it's about 45 minute drive away !

Scout Camp! Happy days - leave parents at home and kick about with your mates doing stuff all weekend - crackin'!

I liked building fires the best - Junior Pyromaniac of the Year I was ... :thanks:

Took a few days off this week to use up leave and to spend time with kiddies, managed a 20mile ride wed and earnt enough brownie points for the near 30 mile ride tomorrow morning. All is well with the world.

They are doing grass sledging, zip wire, climbing and I no doubt wide games in the dark. Jealous me....

Oh and I've let him have my Trustfire 501B torch that has a Cree U2 in it, it will light up the fields. It was only £15 quid delivered.

Setting off shortly

Just finished here and at home laughing at the German music thread. Awful if rather surreal week which included having to sit through a speech by Eric Pickles  at a conference in Basildon.

I'm five years into the weekend - early retirement is a wonderful thing. I can't help wondering though about all the posters who are waiting for the weekend to start, if you've time to 'cycle chat' hasn't your weekend already started?

I'm on holiday this week, but NT and I have been doing work in the house, and will carry on tomorrow, so there isn't really a weekend.

But just being here for a week is nice.

We did have a very nice day out in Southport on Wednesday, and yesterday he took me to the scrapyard. But they wouldn't give him any money for me, so he brought me back... ;)

+1. Not been off this week sadly, (could have done with it as it's a been a crap week TBH), but we've been decorating for the past three weekends at home, and this weekend will be one of finishing off all the little bits of the jobs we I started over the past three weekends

Then next weekend will be time to start decorating phase two:cry:

Just decorating would be fun. I've spent 3 days shovelling....

Not complaining, really. It's all steps on the way top having the house in a state where I can move in, so it's all good.
