It's snowing!

Thought something was happening. Roads full of big 4WDs and Audis trying to shunt everyone else out of the way.

I was in Norway recently, Hammerfest, Kirkenes, all well North of the Arctic Circle and snow bound

The striking thing is the lack of 4WD and th elikes.

Most people manage with normal family cars

Strange how those who really deal with bad weather don't need these

The kid's school was closed, so we packed up and went down to the caravan. Left heavy snow for freezing rain and a gale.

You have to be well-shod though. Winter tyres, with or without studs. (Edit: pref. with)

I found 4 ft of the stuff in places on Cadair Berwyn during my hike up there this morning!! Bloody hard going walking in that at times.
