Any one else got this problem. Already owning a Roberts Tourer, a carbon racer, an alloy racer, a go to the shop bike, and a mountain bike I am still in the pursuit of speed and comfort.
So much so that I recently brought an Audux frame in good condition and at a reasonable price from one of our forum colleagues and just before that I had also brought a steel frame on Ebay.
Both of these I had intended building up from parts from my existing bikes and some spares I have in a box and a couple of spare sets of wheels I have hanging up on my garage wall.
But now it seems that if I am particularly frugal over the next two months I can afford to add another two bikes to my collection by buying the few parts I need. So why wouldn't I and that is now my plan.
Does anyone else have this problem andalso like me believes that you can never have enough bikes.

Yes, I suffer the same addiction. Bought another bike this week.

Wife walked in, I rapidly dropped the saddle and said 'surprise'

Now we are both happy

I know what you mean. I bought a Cervelo R5 about 3 months ago, and a cracking bike it is too. But I am still looking at the Cervelo S5. I don't need it, I won't do it justice, but I still look!

Ten years ago, I had one rickety old mtb. Now I have 2 roadies, a different mtb (old too, but not rickety) and a decent tourer.
Oh, and the frame of the old mtb.

I live in a one-bed flat on a fourth floor, with no lift. Currently down to two bikes (commuter and road), but......that's nowhere near enough, realistically. I really like this flat as well

its only a problem when you get in to double figures and then its not a real problem

I'd never thought of it like that, but I reckon you're about right. 7 for me at present:

Best, nice weather
All rounder
Foul weather
Shopper
Single speed
Single speed MTB
Tandem

I've also got a geared MTB frame that really needs building up.

They all get used. I've another on order, but that's a replacement rather than an N+1.

I've no plans for any more beyomd that, but who knows...
