It's Spider time in the house!

I won't post the obligatory photo in case any here are arachnophobic.
MrsPete was a gibbering wreck last night as a couple of biggies swaggered across the lounge carpet and under the settee on which she was ensconced ....

I saw one drop from the ceiling to the windowsill abseiling like an SAS soldier across the room from me and heard it land over the sound of the tele that was quite a big one.

Mrs Ian is absolutely petrified of all things spiderish, Spiders, Crane Flies (Daddy Long Legs), etc. Me, I just pick them up and chase her round the house with them.

Little H has now also copied his Dad's chasing fun by doing the same.
There's nowhere to hide for Mrs Ian.

Yeah it's that time of year again, we had one strut across the living room carpet the other night. I heard it before I saw it ^_^.
My Mrs is terrified of spiders so the duty falls to me to dispose of them by whatever means necessary.

I am spider man as I am affectionately (not) known. I never kill them but the last episode landed me in A&E with 4 stitches in my hand.

I'm not too bothered about the little spiders and try to never kill them.
Release them outside but they usually just come back.
There was a giant crab like spider in the living room once when I was up late, bravely  tried for ages to catch it then just gave up and squashed it, made a horrible crunching sound

I will pick them up and put them outside up to a certain size but this chap was of a size where I will normally use a glass. I was handed a very cheap as it turned out glass tumbler. The spider did a runner I dropped the glass over him and it just disintegrated, the glass not the spider. Exit room clutching my hand. You can guess the rest but it was on carpet with thick underlay. Kept me off my bike for a few weeks and I still cant straighten one of my fingers.

Thats about it sorry it was not more exciting.
