It's spit or swallow time again!

Yes - they're back.

Those delightful little swarms of our six legged friends are here again.

Out in the Somerset countryside this evening there they were, near every stream and pond, hanging in the air waiting for unwary cyclists.

I managed to spit out most of those that found my mouth, but some made it to the stage of becoming the starter course for my meal!

Yuk - one day I'll work out a way to stop them getting that far, but haven't yet.

At least it's a sign that spring is finally springing.

Encountered a few of them on Friday afternoon. Not too many, yet. When they get thick, my beard and arm hairs collect LOADS of them! lol
