I just said ''I've done that'' to a cyclist this evening. There was a bike up against a wall, a woman unconscious on the floor with her friend in attendance and a man on the phone. I asked the guy on the phone if it had been a bike accident and he quietly replied ''alcohol'' in explanation, ''I'm phoning an ambulance''

I have lied to my wife, but never about the bin! I am always the one to change it anyway, the other members of the household would happily pile the rubbish up on top until it reached toppling point.
