Took the dog out for her 'let's get used to running about in the dark over the park' run earlier. She's got an electron backup light on her harness.

Heard and saw about 10 kids on bikes scrabbling over and then one said 'it's a dog!!!!'. Well, words to that effect.

Ellie went to them, being polite (not) and they absolutely shoot themselves . Had a bit of a natter and they *thought* it was someone on a bike that they could have a go at, because of the light.

How sad is that.

How old were they, mischief old or trouble old? Heh, heh, Ellie might make them think twice now.

Put one of those Cateye LED's on mine once and went on the hill in the dark. Fascinating watching him move at speed in the dark. I thought their eyesight wasn't so great.

My family had a medium sized dog trained to bark and jump around looking agressive when told "kill". Trained as a safety measure for my daughter, who liked walking him.

The reaction of obnoxious scroats was wonderful. The best was haloween - when the response to trick or treat was "you can have the trick, kill"

Been using an LED light for nighttime walkies since forever...
The backup white ones are fantastic - way better than the old green ones (remember them?) used to be.

Don't remember the green ones Doc. I have obviously seen the light as with the previous doggy we had one of those heart shaped crap things that only blinked when the dog 'moved'. As Petrix was an old girl, she hardly did any moving.

Bloodyhell, this one can move like shoot off a shovel. ;) I've now fitted an electron backup to her harness and to her snout ..... as a precaution like.

The kids weren't aggresive or arrogant to me - maybes cos of the dog. Not all kids are bad but you do wonder what their motives were.
