earlier this evening, a friend rang about a matter totally unrelated to kilts and I managed to squeeze the fact that I'd just acquired one into the conversation. Ten minutes later there was a knock on the door....

not "Willian Wallace" WoW Braveheart with a clan like that you must indeed get a kilt

I do have a Wallace tartan tie someone bought me as a present once. There does appear to be a number of different Wallace tartans.

Aye, there are often a number of different tartans associated with the same name. This can sometimes be designations like Ancient, Modern, Hunting, Dress, etc and can sometimes just be whether the tartan is made using animal or vegetable dyes.

Am I so sad that I actually know this ?

No I'm a Scot, who has variations in his own clan tartan [relieved smilie ]

When my projected weightloss is achieved I'll be going for the McFarlane ancient hunting tartan most of the McFarlane variants are unappealing.

He's unfettered by the notion that it's an obligation not to offend people's sensitivities. There again I wouldn't be surprised to find that his sartorial style does have some foundation...he's normally thorough on such matters.

There's nothing wrong with being happy. I'd be wearing a smile as big as his if my income vs outcome imbalance was as favourable as his.

My surname is Sangha.

Backwards, phonetically, it is sort of pronounced Angus.

So I'll plump for the Angus. If there is one.

Crock, I think that's a new burger, so perhaps it ought to be McDonalds (just make sure you tuck the old quarter-pounders out of the way of the saddle.):birthday:
