I thought bats were pretty adept at not flying into things. Maybe it was a pissed bat?
We get a lot of bats (not this time of year though) in the garden, you feel like your bound to be dive bombed if you're outside in the evening. They're amazing to watch, the way they zing around and change direction as if they're ricocheting off of thin air.

If it was a bat, your head must be so dense that all the bat's sonar output was completely absorbed by your skull.

I used to get dive bombed by bats while sat in the garden of my house on a summer evening. Never had one attack me on the bike though, I wonder what you did to p!ss him off?

Physics FAIL.If it was a bat, your head must be so dense that all the bat's sonar output was completely absorbed by your skull.
If the OP's head was dense, it would have reflected the sound and the bat would have successfully evaded.
As it didn't, one can presume the OP's head was the same density as air ("airhead") thus causing the sound to pass right through, with no reflections to help the bat-nav.

That was no accident. I have it from reliable sources that the bat was heard to say 'take that you b*stard' moments before impact.
Apparently, Attenborough has been talking crap about bats for years and they'd had enough.

Well, the other person that said they wouldn't fly into me.
I told them so!
I'm not surprised really, I don't think they are so godly as people make them out to be, the amount that hit our patio doors in my old house says otherwise.
