The Hour by Mike Hutchinson ready for my holiday next week.
Once I've finished it I will pass it on.
A nice read. He has an easy style.
I bought a copy a couple of weeks ago - enjoyed the style, not heavy, easy to read. Still don't know how it ends!!
Most enjoyable book.
A nice way to while away a few hours, a good read.
Read somewhere this week that Giant were a little displeased with him as he somehow managed to negotiate a sponsorship deal which saw him get 50p for every Giant bike sold in the UK. That must have paid him out a few bob.
Yes, I read that but I notice he doesn't ride a Giant now so that deal is presumably finished.
(SPOILER- Don't read if you don't want to know the ending!)
Hutchinson gets my prize for the best attempt at making an exciting story out of a complete non-event!
Agree with all the above, a good book and describes the agony of doing this mad event very well. Also some good historical anecdotes on the "event" too. Well worth the effort to read.
