I am sorry to say that I lost my temper with a stupid woman and kicked her car. I am not proud of it and I regret it very much.
Cycling along approaching a queue of traffic and this woman pulls out from the left and only just managed to straighten up before she had to stop in the queue. When I remonstrated with her that she shouldn't pull out in front of people she said "You saw me so you knew what I was doing". I asked it she saw me and she said Yes, but I could see that she was pulling out. I called her a silly cow and was going to peddle off when she responded that that was fairly weak and was it the best I could do.

So I showed her it wasn't. She had a battered Fiesta and I don't think I did any permanent damage. Perhaps I should just take it all.

ps it didn't help that 10 minutes earlier someone changed lanes to get to a shorter queue for some traffic lights and missed my front wheel by inches.

I had the same road rage remorse after a row with a fellow two-wheeler today. It never feels good to lose your cool. Best to just put it behind you and try to stay zen in future. All together now, ommmmmm....

Out for a ride today when a woman let all the cars go by before walking out straight in front of me as though I wasn't there. Even when she acknowledged I was there she still just blocked me off in the middle of the road.......... how can you not respond to people's ignorance? ................... I seek no solace. Perhaps she may be aware of cyclists now and our right to travel on the highways!

'She had a battered Fiesta'.

Nasty. In that it upset you but surely that told you all you needed to know?

Hope your sense of decency recovers soon and that it hasn't put you off going round on your bike. Remember; you have always got the higher moral ground.

I felt like kicking someone's car today, they overtook me stupidly close only to start indicating to turn right about 200m ahead and slow right down in front of me, instead I just shouted "Well you got far didn't you?!".

Its wrong but if any of us says we haven't been there then they aint human. It is a motivation to do it different next time. To embarrass the driver rather than confirm their negative view of cyclists.

Which should always include smiling with a rolling of the eyes. The fact that you are forgiving them for their stupidity will hit home at the few likely to change their ways. And that is an almighty achievement ....

I'm not sure...for me if I ever loose it (and i generally shrug most stuff off) its just pure raw frustration and anger. I'm not conscious of trying to teach the other person anything, I just want them to be hurt, to be punished.

Mr, cellophane, say 3 hail Marys and pray there wasnt any cctv

Oi! I've got a battered Fiesta, and I'm rather proud of it!

What made me cross the other day was when cars kept passing me too close, and then gave lots of room to the dead badger a few hundred meters further up the road. Nice to know I rate lower than a dead badger, and I bet I'd make more of a mess of their cars if they drove over me.
