Is it on yet? My first one took so long that I think Mr Summerdays took over in the end... and I now have a couple of different levers that help a bit.

Nope not on yet, I've had enough for now to be honest, will return to it tommorow. I'm using two tyre levers too, mindful not to give myself another puncture.

;) 1000.

As a stroke of luck I bought three mountain bike inner tubes with presta valves from halfords for £1 each a few weeks back as they were reduced. I had to buy something to get a discount on a spray can of oil to oil up my ulock.

They have presta valves and should fit the tyres I'm about to order. Hooray lol.

Just changed a tyre on a hybrid. Took about 20seconds to get the tyre back on.

Well I got some slicks, they even came with some free inner tubes which was a really nice surprise.

Anyway, these new tyres were almost just as hard to get on as the last, I gave up in the end and took them to my LBS.

It was abit embarrasing at first until the guy from the LBS also struggled to get them on. He had some very good metallic tyre levers. I watched him struggle but eventually he did manage to get them on.

So yay, back on the road again. A little concerned about getting a puncture in future. Can anyone recommend the following,

1) A decent set of tyre levers
2) A good but affordable sealant that I could use instead of a puncture repair kit?

I haven't had a p*nct*re since 2008 on a bike anyway (I have a greentyre on the rear). On the way to the hotel in Thailand last month the Van had a p*nct*re.That's the first time since the 1970's that I have been in a motor vehicle that has suffered a p*nct*re.

The p*nct*re fairy always gets you.
