Advice:
Measure the diameter of your thighs (carefully measure 1/2 way along) and waist, and write these down you exact weight at a defined time, e.g. just before you go to bed, or when you get up.

When the weather gets cold and wet, and you get fed up, repeat measurements and see what difference you cycling is making.
(don't do it weekly - changes too small to be encouraging).

Thanks, I'll do it tonight

Well done - and keep going.

I started cycling to work (10 miles as well) in May and now do it 3-4 times a week. My waist has also gone down 6 inches (or 7 belt-holes) in that time too.

Nice one! Enjoy the ride home. Cyclists must be the only people who actually look forward to their commute.

You home yet?

Don't forget, as well as looking after yourself (shower, cup of tea etc) , give your bike the once-over, too. Especially check the tyres to see if there's bit of glass or stuff sticking in the tread; check your break and gear cables (as well as your thighs) for chaffing and so on.

Well done!!

hope you are home jammin.
20 miles as a first is a pretty good show.

Mine is half that and I have lost weight etc.

The big problem is that we all spend money on kit and ever more exciting accesories AND we then have to spend money on new clothes as we lose weight!!!!!

Well done.

Same milage as my commute as well. Working 12 hour shifts I don't do every day, but plan to one day.

Well done for starting in the colder/darker weather as well.
