I have what seems to be a similar gadget, called a Roku stick. I don't watch huge amounts of telly, but it's great for streaming stuff (Netflix, Now TV and so on). These require subscriptions tho. Have a Netflix one, and currently investigating Now TV on a free trial. Well, the kids are.

They usually install something like Kodi.

You can then at your own risk install something called Fusion which is officially nothing to do with Kodi but works on their system.

From Fusion you can install add-ons which bring together all the programmes/films being streamed on the internet.

As far as the Internet TVs go, I was quite disappointed in Now TV, It wouldn't support any of the YouTube live streaming (Thought I could get out of the way and let the kids watch their TV and watch UCI / USA cycling events)

Did I read the OP correctly? £100 a month for telly....as Tony Handcock said, that's very nearly an armful!

Popcorn Time is good for Movies and TV Series. It's a Netfilx type front end for streaming torrent files. Works rather well. We use it on a laptop, connected via HDMI to the telly. An android box would do also as there is an app. I can screen mirror my Samsung S5 to the telly and play popcorn time from the phone if needed. There is also Freeflix (windows 8.1 and above app), and Isoplex.

Crumbs - I've been missing out it seems. Now that the dark evenings are upon us maybe it's time for me to investigate.
