Toasted with butter its good... but ive not yet got round to installing the toaster or the fridge on my cannondale

For the FNRttC I brought a couple of posh brownies. Not sure how good they'd be on a more intense ride, but they were a wonderful reward in the cold and dark. So rich I didn't even finish the first one (and I shared that) but the second one disappeared on the train back to London.

On long tours, I'd manage a largish fruit cake a day (for 6 weeks) on the move (stopping for a break). I'd supplement it with water, chocolate milk, bananas, and have a 'normal' but LARGE meal at the end of the cycling day (about 17.00). Breakfast would be coffee and a croissant or three.

In Spain, on a tour, me and a mate would have 2-3 brandies with breakfast! ;)
