I lead a group on the 'Shut up legs' charity ride around the New Forest on Saturday, Jens Voigt was really friendly and made sure he spent time chatting to all the riders.
And here's a pic of him pushing off at the Crabwood CC club 10 the next day!

I thought that too, works it too hard.

Then I read Boardman book and he backs it up that he is like that all the time even way back when. So just amplifies it for the media I guess.

I met him in Oslo a number of years ago (during Thor Hushovd's charity ride) and he spoke to me as if I was an old mate. I think he thought I was a journalist but I just wanted to the opportunity to 'rub shoulders' with a celeb.

Seemed like a very natural and genuine bloke, but I thought Noodley was when I met him in Manchester once, so WTF do I know.

Bit of thread resurrection but I helped out at this years ride yesterday.
Today Jens rode the Crabwood CC 10 not once but twice. First time was piloting a tandem with Mary Corbett who is doing this https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/intandemwithme (I gave him a few tips yesterday having piloted her myself a while ago), he then did it again as a two up after a draw was made for his partner.

The bike looks a little small for Jens.
His knees must have been hitting his elbows.

This ride is always a pleasure, and Jens is lovely. Missed the last couple- last year clashed with the Fridays tour, this with the Bognor FNRttC. Next year, perhaps.....
