I agree, but Clarkson has achieved his objectives, Boris will only have achieved his when he becomes leader of the Tories. When that happens he'll have proved your point for you and proved himself a success.
Oh come on, Boris is hardly a man to limit his ambitions so pathetically. The man is a new Caligula. He'll stop at nothing short of deity.

I met Boris when he opened a village fete, how much nearer to ultimate power can you get.

Bizarre article... note to writer, he *didnt* call for strikers to be executed, he ridiculed the 'balance' that bbc has to provide.. quite well as well..
Some people should really grow up..

So anyway, is this toyota ugly then?

I don't care much about him any more, but wish the BBC would stop wasting its money paying him.

I haven't watched Top Gear for years.

I do wish people would stop giving me Clarkson books for Christmas. I usually look at them, but get so bored after the first few paragraphs that they sit unopened again until the next clearout, when I hope they make some money for the charity shop.

AFAIK, Top Gear is actually a very good earner for the BBC due to the many countries which itis exported too around the world.

If they did, where would Clarkson get his admiring audience from?

forum posters ?

;)

the thing about clarkson is that he's prepared to take as well as give... and often the "take" is self deferential. well , thats my take anyway.. What I find bizarre is people taking stuff so god dam serious.. Mind you, bet they wouldn't go thru syria now :-/

As ugly as Joseph Merrick.

It's a bit more complicated than that...
I hope that you aren't crediting him with writing them.
You don't remember the gag about him not being able to go the states to pick up his "best unscripted programme" award - because he had to write his script?

He's a journalist first and foremost, which means he'll be the main author on anything with his name on it - because that's what makes him employable.

I'm more offended that people take him seriously enough to take offense.

I enjoy Top Gear as some light entertainment after a Sunday afternoon ride to a pub  , but it's not a serious news programme, they're more like 3 scripted characters in a car related sit com, Clarkson plays the bigot, Hammond plays the nice but dim sidekick etc.
