And to think Britain goes into complete meltdown when there is 2" of snow ^_^
True, but you can see an awful lot of manpower employed to keep everything moving though.
At the weekend between the 2 visits I dashed into Decathlon to buy the warmest Parka they had .... the return visit's been much warmer :-)
Around -15C

-15....pffffff
I was in Heilongjiang in NW China last January and that was the daytime temp. -30 at night. People were still riding their bikes during the day

We went to the Harbin Ice Festival and my hosts insisted on buying me quilted undertrousers. Without them I hate to think what would have happened to my nether regions but I did look like the Michelin Man

Yeah, positively balmy!

Last year we had -25 in the daytime at the same place in Russia, it was so cold the factories freezer broke!
True, at that temp you really need the Michelin man look if you are to stay outside for any length of time! My new coat has made a big difference.

The thing I learned was that batteries don't really work at those really low temperatures. Normal batteries that is. So my camera would lose power after 20 minutes exposed to -30. The only way to fix the problem was to take out the batteries, pop them inside my undies and wait for the batteries to warm up enough.
You're missing it all .... huge amounts of rain Tuesday night, Hawick and jed were both flooded, again (Teviot was awesome) - total chaos on this side of the border but as usual the news networks missed it.

Then wednesday morning the wind got up, probably a dozen trucks blown over from the A74 to the A1

And tonight we have "Gertrude" rolling in, expecting more torrential rain and gusts reaching 70-80mph.

you really have timed your holidays badly and missing all the action. - LOL
Boy am I glad I'm off today :wahhey:

I wasn't off, rode to work and back.
It was worse earlier, windier. Tonight mostly rain, not that blowy.

I feel for you @Pat "5mph"
Thursday was horrible in Glasgow during most of the afternoon, went off briefly and then the rain came back harder,as I made my way home.
Yer tough by the way ^_^
