Here I am, peaceably perusing CC while Ms RT slumbers gently in bed, trying to ignore the radio alarm (which is playing Radio 2, lord help us), when I hear on the news that prosecutors in the USA are using up valuable time considering whether or not they should issue a posthumous pardon to Jim Morrison - possibly the most overrated person who ever lived, but never mind that - for getting his gut stick out on stage forty odd years ago. The world's gone mad ... does it really matter all these years later?

There's obviously someone in the USA with far too much time on his hands. Come to think of it, this is probably a result of US prudery. There's money to be made out of Jim Morrison if he can be branded "a great American original" but the bible belt won't be able to cope with a conviction for flashing. Therefore he has to be retrospectively decreed squeaky clean so that they can get on with making their filthy lucre (which is after all the sole cultural activity of any significance in the USA). S'obvious really innit?
