And TBH I wouldn't work from home unless you have a reason to be at home (eg childcare or a very remote location) - working without contact with colleagues is very tough indeed.Have you considered working for yourself? There are thousands of companies who don't have the resources to have a full-time customer services bod but are desperate to look after their customers properly. In theory you could work at home and look after customer services for maybe five or six SMEs and still only be working part-time. You'd be making a good amount of money to bike stuff and you'd have more time to ride your bike!.
It depends on your personality and the nature of the work. It would be pretty difficult to be a social worker if you were totally antisocial, whereas I would be perfectly happy to spend every working minute for the rest of my life alone at home.
