I eat well over 5 a day fruit and veg. No problem in doing this.
Surely we do not want a rush of energy - better for it to be released slower as it is digested.
If you stick some apples through it you end up with liquefied apple and remove a certain amount of fibre pulp. Surely that fibre pulp is good to eat as it is full or roughage. I do see more gets in than if you just extracted juice but why is the bit that is being thrown out bad for me - surely I am better eating the pulp. Lots of roughage for digestion and it fills you up more to then eat less fat, sugar and carbs.
Part of the delight of food is the eating bit. ^_^

What bit is being thrown out?

What bit is being thrown out?

The demo I saw (on youtube) showed them bunging three apples in it. Out one side came a jug of liquid and out the other side they scraped out some dryish stuff that looked like chopped up string. Seemed to be a certain amount of the fibre of the fruit. I know nothing but I would guess if you put an orange in it then the peel does not end up in the glass so somehow it is extracting more than just the juice but not all the fibre of the fruit.
Seems to me that one of the main benefits of fruit and veg - the fibre in it- is being discarded.

That's a pretty high sugar breakfast I'd say

I have a Breville Activeblend thing. I paid £20 for it a year ago at Asda and use it most days. I like a nice spinach smoothie for breakfast (banana, spinach, unsweetened almond milk, sometimes some natural yoghurt sometimes not, slack handful of ice cubes. Delish.

Even better if you get rid of the ice but have a supply of sliced banana in the freezer.

No that's not a Nutribullet then - the whole lot* goes in and there is no waste. There is no jog on the side like a juicer. It does come with a set of jug/beaker thingies though.

You''re not supposed to put apple pips in (low dosage of cyanide0 and stuff like banana skins are unpalatable.

Other than that you get 100% of the fruit/veg.

Thanks.
I eat apple cores and have just googled eating them. Seems the cycnide does not accumulate and the dose is low.
Cannot see why anyone wants to liquefy a banana though. Surely perfect as it is.

Probably similar to blending one with milk for a banana milk shake.......it's a nice flavour and thickens it up. Personally I have stopped adding it to the other fruit & veg as IMO it's thick enough without.
