I didn't miss that point, and in case I haven't already made it abundantly clear I abhor cyclists who go through a pedestrian crossing while or just before pedestrians are crossing. I detest anyone who puts someone else in danger just for their own convenience.

It doesn't alter the fact that as a pedestrian you are much more likely to be KSI by a RLJing driver than a RLJing cyclist.

What about minor injuries as is more likely in the case of a pedestrian/cyclist? Or aren't they worth worrying about?

Of course they are. I just think it's important to keep a proper perspective on what the main source of danger is.

Well that could go either way. Car hitting a pedestrian is without doubt more serious. Do you have any stats on cyclist hitting pedestrian for minor injuries?

It may well be the case that although it's less severe it's a more common occurrence? May not be, I don't know.

Less severe problems that are higher in occurrence cannot be dismissed against less common more severe events (eg I'm more worried about being beaten up walking home late at night than I am having a bomb dropped on my house).

That and they just don't bother looking properly. Traffic lights are drilled in harder as something to look for and it's a more obvious change. They tend to stop quickly enough if you actually walk out on to the zebra (although I always leave room for them to blast past just in case, I'm not quite that obstinate.).
