Lorrenzo Finn comfortably won the stage and, in doing so, became the first U23 to do the l'Avenir, Giro Next Gen double. I presume he will turn pro with Red Bull next season. He's pretty much completed cycling at U23 level. As well as the l'Avenir, Giro double, he is the youngest U23 World Champion ever and one of only two riders in history (Matej Mohorič, the other) to win consecutive world titles in both the Junior and Under-23 categories.

If the rumours are true, Driesen (2nd) looks to be a decent acquisition for Pinarello.

Finlay Storrie won Druivenkoers - Overijse junior race yesterday. It's not a high profile race but he's been picking up some decent results this season. That's particularly impressive because, being a first year junior, many of his competitors are a year older than him. One to keep an eye on.

Johnson and Birkedal are South African and Danish TT champs respectively but Grenke look to have quite a young team and I don't really know anything about the youngsters apart from Bohak.

Sure Grenke had 5 riders on the start list when I looked earlier this morning and he was another national TT champ.

Grenke finished 3rd in the TTT at 3 secs. Suppose that's a good effort from there 4 riders, all other teams had 6 riders.

3 out of the 4 are first year juniors, too. Decathlon also with a 4 man team and lost 7 secs.

Looking at the revised startlist, I'd imagine Vic de Smet will be favourite with Maj Bohak and Milo De La Mare worth keeping an eye on.
