our decs are 90% up. There are fairy lights in the tree in the front garden. There's tinsel, baubles, stars, leaves, a wreath or two, presents around the fireplace and brown paper packages hidden around the house. The FNRttC christmas card will be printed tomorrow. We're not having a tree (ecotastic or what!) but the Christmas booze is stockpiled. The visit to Agent Hilda's sister row is brewing nicely and I've discovered (que lastima with appropriate accents) that the FNRttC Windows And Death With Added Lenin And Stalin Bits (78 signed up, space limited details at http://fnrttc.blogspot.co.uk/ ) coincides with my extended family do. I've decided to give my closest friends high explosives for Christmas, and there's an Indian-owned hardware store around the corner that has a stock of fireworks left over form Diwali - the legend on the boxes promises big bangs and dismemberment (I made the dismemberment thing up, but, given the size of the things, it's a possibility).

Christmas is go-go-go at DZ Villas!

We're going to buy our (real) Christmas tree next Saturday. Lights, baubles of different sizes, stars & other hanging decorations a plenty. I'll be making gingerbread biscuits to hang from the tree also. My Mrs started the Christmas food shop back at the end of September, adding 2 or 3 things a week, all we need to get now is the Turkey from the butchers on Christmas Eve, and the fresh veg a day or 2 before. I need to order some cheese online next week. Stocked up on plenty of whisk(e)y for me & Baileys for the Mrs. Today my job has been wrapping our Sons presents, except his new bike, which I'll wrap Christmas eve.

Yes me too. Unfortunately the thing that holds the wreath on the front door has gone missing so I have to go back up in a minute or two.

No decorations for us, but yesterday the bloke next door but one came home with a proper looking tree in his car. His two young kids (one of each) were bouncing up and down, giggling and squalling as he hauled it into the house. Yesterday afternoon must have been a complete joy for them all.
