Having not gone out for a lunchtime ride for nearly two weeks due to high winds, torrential rain, bike issues and tiredness today I decided to stop being such a whinger and just went out for a quick six miles.

It was very windy, I went after my lunch and my legs didn't seem to want to do what I wanted them to, but it was GREAT!

Long story short - life is not for thinking, it's for riding.

I finished work late today and wasn't going to ride . Then i thought buggar this i'm going.
Grabbed my beater bike and completed a fast 13 miles. Legs felt strong,or is the weight loss finally improving my performance???

end of the week i'm tired, i think to myself, well why take the 7.5 mile route home with all them hills when you can just take 5.5 miles that's flatter then a sheet of graphite...
then when i get to the turn to take the short route i seem to just keep going and take the long route anyway saying to myself "don't be such a wimp!"
i should start quoting jens voigt "Shut up legs! Do what i tell you to do!"
    hehe

I know that feeling, although sometimes I find my bike accidentally missed the turnings for the short cuts...
