Hadnt heard of the make but very impressed with the quality. Been sat in an open shed for some time yet all works including both lights.

That's real old skool, with a bit of a tidy, new cables and grease it'll go on forever.
Might be able date it if you give us the name on the derailleur.

It's a strange mix of budget and better quality components. I'll go with mid to late 80s for now, but someone has upgraded it here and there during its lifetime.

I like that.

I built something similar for Ms AU and it was a good, comfortable ride.

What are your plans for it?

Looks like a good candidate for an ebike conversion.

I just plan to fully service and then get it back together with everything carefully greased and happy. If my partner likes using it then it will stay.

The carriers are an excellent design and even the bell has multicycle on it.

Starting to get there. No need for the front rack so have carefully stored that. The brakes are new to me, but work very well just for a bit of cleaning and adjusting. Surprised how small the actual pads are.

So this bike has the front freewheel system, and I have wanted to check it and service it. Having taken the crank off the axle on the non drive side, the next part as shown is very tight. Any ideas on which way to undo before I give it a serious attempt.
