10 1/2, stone at 6ft Smokin Joe, crikey.
So do I.
Trying to find stuff to fit when you're 6' tall and have trouble making 10 1/2 stone dripping wet when clothes are tailored for the three quarters of the population who are officially porkers is a nightmare. And what is the problem tailors have with their tape measures? If it says 33" leg I expect a leg that's 33" long, not 31 from one manufacturer and 34.5" from someone else.
And try and get a decent pair of shoes for under twenty quid these days, it's almost impossible (That complaint didn't get much sympathy from Mrs SJ who pointed out that none of the three pair of cycling shoes I own cost less than £60).
I thought I was relatively slight at 6ft & between 12st 12lbs & 13st 2lbs (depending on the day in question) although I have been as high as 14st 10lbs in my Gym Monster days (they're gone).
I too don't get the discrepancies between manufacturers for a given size, lets say 33" waist 33" leg & I often get stuck in no mans land where I can only get 32" or 34" leg jeans, 32's being half mast & 34's meaning I am walking on them & tripping over.
My cycling shoes would be £300 pair if I ever paid RRP, but I managed to bag them for about £170 & £140.
Does anyone think that cycling kit is way over priced ?
