We moved to Bristol this year and I've been enjoying exploring the local roads and bridleways.

A short while ago I discovered there is a really good pump track just a couple of miles from us :becool:

Rode it a couple of times on my MTB, and found myself hankering for the BMX back in Devon, which I sold as always felt like a bit of a pillock on it. But I've now just got hold of a 24" BMX which is just about big enough to not feel like a complete wally on, and is a bit more comfy too.

Think it's a Specialised P24 - it was in a bit of a state when I got it. Now fettled up and running nicely - still looks scruffy as anything but in kind of a good way!

I can carry some pretty good speed around the track and rip through the berms in a thoroughly satisfying way, but I'm still a long way from being able to clear the doubles!

I thought this was a euphemism of some sort.

It doesn't seem that well used by kids unfortunately. It's in a slightly rough area so dunno if the local teens are too cool for that sort of thing? The design of the track doesn't lend itself well to little ones pottering around either (though there are plenty of other BMX tracks around Bristol that are ideal for this). I've been down a few times and have been the only one using it. A shame as it's a brilliant track, flows better than most I've ridden, and must have cost a bit to put in!
